Die über CrossAsia angebotenen Datenbanken für Zeitschriftenartikel aus und über Japan bieten unterschiedliche Inhalte und Funktionalitäten. In diesem Webseminar sollen Cinii, Web OYA-bunko, 雑誌記事索引集成データベース (Zassaku), Online Contents Ost- und Südostasien sowie Project Muse kontrastierend vorgestellt werden. Darüber hinaus gibt es einen Überblick in welchen weiteren Datenbanken sich Zeitschriftenarchive finden lassen.

The webseminar deals with the subject area of Central Asia, which is defined geographically and includes Mongolia, regions of the Mongolian, Tibetan and Uyghur minorities in China as well as the Tibetan and Uyghur exile communities. In addition to general notes, basic research strategies for printed and electronic resources will be presented. The event is aimed at students and other interested parties who want to use the CrossAsia portal with selected databases, the StaBiKat and the digitised collections. The course will be held in English.

In dieser Veranstaltung werden die Datenbanken der beiden großen japanischen Tageszeitung Asahi shimbun (朝日新聞クロスサーチ) und Yomiuri shimbun (ヨミダス歴史館 (読売新聞)) vergleichend vorgestellt. Die Veranstaltung richtet sich an Teilnehmer:innen mit geringen Vorkenntnissen.

Im zweiten Teil der Vorstellung japanischer Zeitungsdatenbanken wird es um die Angebote der Nikkei shimbun (日経テレコン21) und der Mainichi shimbun (毎索 毎日新聞社のデータベース) gehen. Die Veranstaltung richtet sich an Teilnehmer:innen mit geringen Vorkenntnissen.
